The Students of Darmasiswa RI Program FCS-UB Went to Museum and Made Puppets
The students of Darmasiswa RI Program Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) had a variety of activities to get to know and be closer to Indonesia. In one of their outing activities, they conducted learning activities at Brawijaya Museum, Music Museum and Mpu Purwa Museum. These activities were held in order to learn about the history, art and culture in Indonesia, especially Malang.
The students of Darmasiswa RI Program, FCS-UB also learnt how to make Suket Puppet in Asta Karya. Here they learnt indigenous culture of Indonesia. They learnt about suket puppet not a shadow puppet. However, it did not diminish their enthusiasm for learning to make the puppets.
It seemed that those eleven foreign students were very fond of these activities. Beside they managed to make puppet from suket, they also got new knowledge about Indonesian culture and experiences.
Those eleven students of Darmasiswa RI Program at FCS-UB were Roman Pavliuk from Ukraine, Kyungin Kim from South Korea, Randrianarimalala Haingo Julianah from Madagascar, Izatullo Kurbonov from Tajikistan, Gidiao Silva from East Timor, Afsana Ali and Tanya Patel from India, Mohammeda-Hadi Ibrahim Bosha Ahmed from Sudan, Nurma Tayoh, Husnee A-Buwah and Habibuddeen Luebaeteh from Thailand.
