BENRON TAIKAI : JAPAENESE SPEECH COMPETITION
On Thursday, (24/3/2018), the student association of Japanese Literature and Japanese Language Education Study Programs held “BENRON TAIKAI” in FCS-UB, it is a competition of Japanese speech held annually to prepare and chose the delegation of FCS-UB in Benron Taikai external, in East Java.
Benron Taikai held in FCS-UB was an internal event, which can only be followed by the students of Japanese Literature and Japanese Language Education Study Program. Before the participants did their speech in front of the judges, there was a selection of the speech’s scripts. The participants had to submit their scripts to the committee and the judges, who were the native Japanese speakers, chose the scripts that passed the selection. The judges were the lecturers of Literature and Japanese Language Education Study Programs. They were 1) Izuka Tasuku, (2) Ogawa Yuki, and (3) Kawamoto Asuna.
The selection process was held on Saturday (24/3/2018) in the Auditorium of FCS-UB Building B, started at 07.00 am until 13.00 pm. 20 participants from the Japanese Language Education Study Program and the Japanese Literature Study Program were selected to represent UB at Benron Taikai 2018 held this year in UNTAG, Surabaya.
After the scripts of the participants were selected, they delivered their speech in front of the audience and judges. This year, there was no certain theme applied by the committee for the speech’s scripts. The participants were free to make their scripts based on their knowledge and creativity.
After a quite tight competition, the first and second winners of this competition were (1) Armania Bawon Kresnamurti and (2) Benaldo Casadena Mamesah, who would be sent to the Benron Taikai in East Java as the delegations of FCS-UB. (Via/DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
