Open Journal System (OJS) Training for Journal Manager in the Faculty of Cultural Studies Universitas Brawijaya
Currently, one of the important points in performing the function of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi is to carry out research. The performance of lecturers is greatly influenced by the quality of publications.
Publication demands have a considerable impact on the awareness of the lecturers of the importance of conducting studies, research, and writing scientific papers in scientific journals at both national accredited and reputable international journals.
To meet this need, on Thursday, May 31, 2018, the Journal Publishing Agency Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held Open Journal System Training (OJS) for Journal Manager in the FCS UB with Rizki Trisnadi as the speaker from Badan Ketahanan Jurnal UB.
He described several user roles in managing journals. The managers of several journals at FCS UB joined this training, under the auspices of Journal Publishing Agency of FCS UB.
Rizki Trisnadi noted that the bibliography should be written using the application and the original url should be included, and all journal activities should be recorded in the OJS to support the accreditation process of the journal.
OJS existed since 2013 which has been a tool in helping academics, researchers and universities around the world to manage journals online using OJS software. This software provides solutions related to various journal issues and plays an active role in the globalization of science. Currently, the version used in the UB environment is OJS 2.7, but in the future, this version will be updated as needed. (DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
