Learning Management and Orientation Program
Learning Management and Orientation Program (P4) is a Community Service Program (KKN) activity in which one form of community service done in the school environment. This program is implemented by the students of Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), especially students of education such as students from Indonesian Language Education, English Language Education and Japanese Language Education Study Program.
This program is organized by the Department of Language Education under the faculty. This program is commonly referred to as PPL or Field Experience Practices held in actual schools by synergizing between KKN and teaching practices, because previously students have undergone the practice of teaching inside the campus which will be a provision for them. Students will be tested in mental readiness as well as sufficient knowledge possessed in providing materials and evaluation of learning process.
The program runs from June to September, and it is divided into two stages. Firstly, students who undergo the program will be given a briefing on campus from June, 30th 2018 up to August, 3rd 2018 where the campus will invite one teacher to give direction or briefing. Here, the students will also be given a one week lesson study simulation which is guided by DPL lecturer (Field Supervisor). Secondly, students will be deployed directly into the school environment from August, 3rd 2018 to the end of September 2018. They actively undergo the program on Monday to Saturday, morning until evening. Students will be faced with the actual teaching process.
Many of the benefits that they will get during the program such as experience while leading the learning process in the actual class, and also they will be more mentally prepared in becoming a reliable educator. (Afandi/DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
