FCS UB’s Internship in Japan

For students in the final year, internship is one of the compulsory conditions for obtaining a bachelor’s degree. The demands of the world of work, makes the apprenticeship process becomes very important. Chandra Trisnadi and Amaliya Akhsani, Japanese Literature students at FIB UB are lucky because they have the opportunity to do internships in Japan starting on 1 Oct – 28 Nov 2018.

They left for Japan with Aditya (an alumnus of Japanese Literature FCS UB) and Efrizal, M.A. (Japanese Literature Lecturer at FCS UB). Aditya is the owner of Hikari Japanese Language Institute, which has a close connection with AllCasting Japan. Allcasting is in desperate need of labor in the field of translation services because Allcasting has many overseas workers, including Indonesia.

Arriving in Japan, the FCS UB group met Mr. Genichi Kato, the Director of Allcasting. He was willing to take them to the apartment as the housing during the internship program. On the following day, FCS UB group met Mr. Yuji Tsutsui, the President Director of Allcasting.

On the following day, FCS UB’s students started the internship. They are under the supervision of Mr. Nakano. According to him, FCS UB students are able to work quickly.

FCS UB group also took the time to meet with FCS UB students who had the opportunity to study in Japan at Nagoya University.

Aditya and Efrizal also visited IC Tech, Co Ltd. They had the opportunity to meet the President Director, Mr. Hitoshi Ogura. He said that there were many things that could be done together with UB. Bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir, magang merupakan salah satu syarat wajib untuk mendapatkan gelar sarjana. Tuntutan dunia kerja yang semakin tinggi mengakibatkan proses magang menjadi sangat penting. Chandra Trisnadi dan Amaliya Akhsani, mahasiswa Sastra Jepang FIB UB beruntung karena berkesempatan melaksanakan magang di Jepang mulai tanggal 1 Okt – 28 Nov 2018.

Mereka berangkat ke Jepang diantar oleh Aditya (alumni Sastra Jepang FIB UB) dan Efrizal, M.A. (Dosen Sastra Jepang FIB UB). Aditya merupakan pemilik Hikari Japanese Language Institute yang memiliki koneksi erat dengan Allcasting Jepang yang sangat membutuhkan tenaga kerja magang di bidang jasa terjemahan lisan dan tulisan karena Allcasting memiliki banyak tenaga kerja dari luar Jepang, termasuk Indonesia.

Setibanya di Jepang, rombongan FIB UB disambut oleh Mr. Genichi Kato yang merupakan Direktur Allcasting yang bersedia mengantar sendiri mahasiswa ke apartemen yang menjadi tempat tinggal mereka selama magang. Pada hari berikutnya, rombongan FIB UB menemui Mr. Yuji Tsutsui yg merupakan Presiden Direktur Allcasting.

Pada hari berikutnya, mahasiswa FIB UB memasuki masa orientasi. Mereka berada di bawah pengawasan Mr. Nakano. Menurutnya, mahasiswa FIB UB mampu bekerja dengan cepat.

Pada kesempatan kunjungan tersebut, rombongan FIB UB menyempatkan diri untuk bertemu dengan mahasiswa FIB UB yang mendapatkan kesempatan untuk belajar di Jepang dengan beasiswa di Nagoya University.

Kunjungan ke Jepang tersebut dimanfaatkan pula oleh Aditya dan Efrizal untuk mengunjungi perusahaan lain sebagai prospek tempat magang. Ketika berkunjung ke IC Tech, Co. Ltd, mereka berkesempatan untuk bertemu dengan Presiden Direktur, Mr. Hitoshi Ogura. Mr. Ogura menyampaikan bahwa ada banyak hal yang dapat dikerjakan bersama dengan UB, yang membutuhkan pula kolaborasi dengan fakultas lain seperti perikanan dan teknologi pangan atau gizi. Mr. Ogura berharap dapat mengunjungi UB dalam waktu dekat untuk mengadakan seminar. (MSH/PSIK FIB)
