Pelepasan dan Pembekalan Wisudawan FIB UB Periode 2 (2018-2019)
On Friday (10/5/2018), A Release and Debriefing Event of the Graduates Period 2 Academic Year 2018-2019, was held in the Auditorium of the building B Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB). The event began at 8 a.m. and started with ceremonials that had become a tradition when the graduates were released. Starting with the Dean and Vice Deans of FCS UB, Heads of the Departments, and Heads of Study Programs entered the room and all graduates were asked to stand to sing Indonesia Raya.
Ismatul Khasanah, M.Ed, Ph.D , Vice Dean of Students Affairs delivered the academic report of FCS UB. She mentioned the names of the graduates of each study program and their predicate. The average graduation predicates mentioned were Cumlaude and Very Satisfactory. The number of FCS UB graduates for period 2 was 60 people. Then it was continued with the announcement and handover the certificate to the best graduates students that achieved by Henry Agung Setiawan Thamin from Japanese Language Education Study Program batch 2013 with GPA 3,98.
Next procession was collaring the Gordon by the Heads of the Study Programs started from English Literature Study Program, Japanese Literature Study Program, French Language and Literature Study Program, Chinese Literature Study Program, English Language Education Study Program, Japanese Language Education Study Program, Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Anthropology Study Program and Fine Arts Study Program. The graduates were called one by one while being collared by their Heads of the Study Programs.
The event was continued with a briefing by the Dean of FCS UB, Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA. He delivered several messages to the graduates. The event was closed with a prayer, leaded by Achmad Ruslan S.P. Then the leaders of FCS UB left the room. After that, the graduates got a briefing due to the university graduation techniques.
To close the event, a briefing for the fresh graduates was given by Sammulia Rahmadi Hasyar, S.S. He was a graduate of batch 2005 from English Literature Study Program FCS UB who is now active as an OXY perfume, studio, and travel entrepreneur. “I didn’t follow my friends’ trends at that time (when I was in college); I stayed focused on my business. If I went along with the trend, maybe I couldn’t become an entrepreneur now,” he explained to the fresh graduates that FCS UB graduates could also become entrepreneurs. (DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
