Kurabu no Hi 2018: Introducing Students’ Talent Clubs
Kurabu No Hi 2018! is an event held by the Japanese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya (FCS UB). It was held on November 4th, 2018 in building B FCS UB. The event was attended by the students of Japanese Literature Study Program FCS UB, as well as visitors from various other majors. At this event, members of each student activity club, or kurabu, introduced their club to the visitors.
The event began with a speech from the Head of Japanese Literature Study Program, then the Chairperson of the Japanese Literature Association, and the last from the Chief Executive of Kurabu No Hi 2018. Then, it was continued by performances from each club in the Japanese Literature Study Program FCS UB.
Starting from the Yosakoi club performing traditional Japanese dances. Then Megumi Kurabu, the manga club (comic), which was greeted enthusiastically by the audience. There was also a VCR performance from the Badai Kendo Kurabu club. Then, there was Shodou Kurabu which displays their beautiful Japanese ‘calligraphy’. After that, Ganoko Kurabu performed the opening parody drama of the anime Blend S. Moreover, there was also Ryoukai Kurabu, a Japanese cooking club. In closing, there was a performance from the FIBeats club performing songs from AKB48.
The program was then followed by Manga Kurabu video. The highlight of the event was ‘Kurabu no Dorama’ where representatives of the clubs performed a very impressive drama.
It is hoped that this event can accommodate student activities to channel the interests and talents of Japanese Literature Study Program’s students in particular and Universitas Brawijaya students in general. (PS.SJep/DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
