Diah Eko Wahjuni, S.Pd., a Staff of FCS UB: the Winner of Speech Contest
One of the staffs of Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Diah Eko Wahjuni, S.Pd., won the Speech Contest in commemoration of the 90th Indonesian Mother’s Day and the 19th Darma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UB Anniversary.
With the theme of ‘the Role of Mother in the National Character Development of the Millennial Generation,’ Diah Eko Wahjuni, S.Pd. titled her speech ‘Mother in the Millennial Frame’. She explained that mother had many roles in building the character of the nation, but she conveyed three of the roles:(1) Mother in the first Madrasah, (2) Mother as the nation pole, and (3) Mother as an agent to build national character.
This Speech Contest was held on Wednesday (12/12/2018) at UB TV. But the award was given on Thursday (12/27/2018) in Widyaloka Building UB to coincide with the commemoration of the 19th UB Darma Wanita Persatuan (DWP).
“Amazing, because this is my first experience and with a quite short preparation that were about 2-3 days preparing the script and an overnight training,” said Diah Eko Wahjuni, S.Pd. showing her feelings. “Thank you, I present it to all members of DWP FCS UB, this inspiration comes from the super mothers at FCS UB,” she continued.
