Thank You, Dr. Dra. Indah Winarni, M.A and Dr. Sri Endah Tabiati, M.Ed

Two senior lecturers from Study Program of English, Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Dr. Dra. Indah Winarni, M.A and Dr. Sri Endah Tabiati, M.Ed. now had arrived at pension time. The Dean of FCS UB, Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA., and the Vice Deans invited them to come to the Dean’s Room on Monday (3/18/2019) at 8 a.m.

On this occasion, the Dean of FCS UB expressed his gratitude for all the services that have been made, so that the beneficial can be enjoyed at FCS UB until now. Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA. said,  “We are very grateful for the services that have been given while they were on duty and officiated in FCS UB. This retirement does not mean the last day in FCS UB. It is only the difference in status now. Therefore, guidance and assistance will still be needed to develop a better FCS UB in the future”.

Dr. Sri Endah Tabiati, M.Ed also conveyed to the Dean about her impression during teaching and serving in FIB UB until the end of her term. She is grateful because during her service at FIB UB also felt safe and comfortable, and thanks for the hard work done so that the results can now be felt. She said, “I appreciate the performance of young generation who are passionate about their work. I feel FIB has now become a big faculty because every year there are so many students who enter FIB. ”

Dr. Dra. Indah Winarni, M.A also conveyed her message regarding her experiences during her duty in FCS UB. She responded to the opinion that both Dr. Dra. Indah Winarni, M.A and Dr. Sri Endah Tabiati, M.Ed are the pioneers behind the existence of FCS UB. However, she continued, “Without the help of the colleagues it was impossible for FCS UB to be formed”. As in her statement, ”A Person in Person has a lot to color the journey of this faculty. Actually young colleagues have been doing the same things as we have done. They are struggling and trying through the limitations of facilities we used to experience as well as being a second class citizen”.

She also added a message and hope for FCS UB not to forget to learn from past events, and hope that we all return to the original part of FCS UB, which is humanity because it is very important. Moreover, the study of the objects examined by FCS UB is in the form of humans themselves.

After that, the meeting was closed by giving souvenirs to Dr. Dra. Indah Winarni, M.A and Dra. Sri Endah Tabiati, M.Ed and taking photos as memories with FCS UB. Last but not least, we would say thank you to them for the services and contributions in order to raise up the name of FCS UB. (YI/DT/AG/PSIK FIB)
