Benchmarking: Expectations for Synergy and Collaboration between FCS UB and FIB UNDIP

 

For the sake of increasing the competency of student organizations, Student Affairs Division of Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) conducted a Benchmarking to Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang on Friday (05/03/2019). Followed by 22 Chairmen and representatives of Student Organizations, the group was received by the Dean, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs and the Chairmen of Student Organization Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University.

FCS UB was welcome by a performance of Student Choir and Gambang Semarang arts of Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. In her remarks, Dr. Nurhayati, M. Hum, Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, hoped for synergy and cooperation in the future, both in the Academic and Student Affairs fields, considering that Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University is a State University of Legal Entity that is demanded for Tri Dharma quality improvement and cooperation. In this case, FCS UB, which is still a Public Service Agency, certainly needs to learn from the Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University in its adjustment to State University of Legal Entity.

Vice Dean of Student Affairs FCS UB, Ismatul Khasanah, M.Pd, M.Ed, Ph.D expressed her gratitude for the welcome by Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Isma also conveyed, “This activity aims to increase insight and cooperation between the two parties. Future collaboration is expected in the form of MoU between the two leaders.”

As for the presentation of student organizations of Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Singgih Tri Sulistiyono, M. Hum, stated that the academic and student fields are assisted by 15 lecturers from the Expert Staff. The aim is for academic and student activities to ease the supervision and implementation of activities.

The presentation of Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University was followed by a discussion session to gather information and exchange ideas from both parties. (AN/DT/MSH/PSIK FIB)
