On Friday (18/5/2018), Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a routine meeting. At this time, the meeting was quite different because it was held in the fasting month. Therefore, it invited FCS-UB Sholihat, and held a tausiyah at the end of the event.
The event was started at 9.30 a.m in the Room I.1 building A FCS-UB. It was then followed by Mars Dharma Wanita and a speech by the Head of DWP FCS-UB, Mrs. Kurnia Agus Suman. In her speech, the Head of DWP FCS-UB delivered some plans that will be done by DWP FCS-UB, which are a social service in this holy month of Ramadhan with FCS-UB Sholihat and Gen-Q, a shorter rotation of arisan by increasing the nominal amount of the social gathering and increasing the number of participants who received the arisan, and a blood donation to commemmorate DIES NATALIS of FCS-UB in August. Mrs. Agus did not forget to thank the attendees participating in this event.
The event was continued by the announcement of arisan, financial reports, recitation of the holy verses of Al-Quran and Tausiyah. In this tausiyah, DWP FCS-UB and FCS-UB Sholihat invited Ustadzah Maya Novianti, M.A. In this occasion, Ustadzah Maya conveyed the targets that we can achieve in the holy month of Ramadhan. She also hoped that we can be a person who is taqwa by fasting (fasting to restraint from the unlawful/sin, fasting to restraint from things other than God); grateful in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an; straight with prayer at certain times (between the adzan and qomat, the time of rain, 1/3 of night, after the prayer, when fasting).
The event was closed with doorprizes for the attendees. Bazaar booths also cheered the event; they were Tupperware, Islamic Boutique, and Batik Boutique in the Hall of FCS-UB on the first floor. [DT/MSH/PSIK FIB]
