The lecturers of the Study Program of Fine Arts, Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) are involved in the activities held in Lamongan in October 2021. Nur Iksan, The Chief of the Seruni Dosen Berkarya (Dokar) Team, explained that this activity is part of the Dokar Program FCS UB. This activity, initiated by UB, provides an opportunity for lecturers to actualize their knowledge through activities outside the campus as a form of contribution to the community and provide a positive impact for the parties involved.
The Dokar Seruni team is a part of the community empowerment process in health and environmental aspects. By placing the fundamental domain of art, namely creativity, as the center that combines various elements of culture, nature, rationality, and emotional domains in empowering the community. As a form of joint work and inter-territorial spirit, the Dokar Seruni Team partnered with UPT Puskesmas Sekaran and Desa Bugel.
This Dokar Program is divided into three activities. The first is the ISUK (Waste Investment for Health) Innovation activity. It is carried out through POSBINDU PTM (Integrated Post for Non-Infectious Diseases). Through this waste investment activity, the community can exchange waste for free health services and medical treatment by the waste exchanged.
The second is the Ecoprint Workshop through ISUK Activities. Through this activity, the community is provided with provisions to make creative products to be used as Village SMEs.
Third, the development of the UPT Puskesmas page and the Bugel Village page, as a medium of information as well as socialization media about health campaigns, one of which is the ISUK Innovation Program to the community. Seeing the potential that exists, many things can be packaged and developed to produce creative products and also manage them.
It is hoped that through this Dokar activity, experience and knowledge of waste management can produce creative products that have selling value, so that not only the products are known but also UPT Puskesmas Sekaran and Bugel Village, Lamongan.
Ani Murti Ningsih, Bugel Village Midwife, said that this collaboration program with UB has a very positive impact on the parties involved, namely UPT Sekaran and Bugel Village, Lamongan. Through this activity, the role of health workers can be brought closer to the community as a community-based health effort (UKBM). A positive response was also conveyed by the people of Bugel Village, this can be seen from their enthusiasm to continue producing eco-print products.
Moreover, the ISUK Program has been awarded the TOP 15 East Java Innovation Program for two consecutive years, namely since 2020 and 2021. The award was given by the Regent of Lamongan.
