Grief engulfed this country in early 2021. Many disasters have occurred in Indonesia, such as floods in South Kalimantan, earthquakes in West Sulawesi, landslides in Sumedang, West Java, and others. This moved DWP (Dharma Wanita Persatuan) Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS), Universitas Brawijaya (UB), and FCS Sholihat to raise funds for the disaster victims.

Fundraising was conducted for two weeks from 18 to 29 January 2021. During that period, the funds raised were four million Rupiah. The funds were submitted by the representatives of DWP FCS UB and FCS Sholihat to the National Disaster Management Board, Bambang, on Monday (2/1/2020).

The Chief of DWP FCS UB, Mrs. Kurnia Agus Suman, said that this fundraising is to foster a sense of empathy for the victims of the natural disasters that have occurred in several places in this country.

“Hopefully these funds can help the victims of the disaster,” she said. [DTS/MSH/PR FCS]
