The 2013 curriculum makes several schools in Indonesia remove foreign language subject especially Japanese Language. The writer assumes that the main reason of removing it is studying of the subject is less beneficial. Based on this assumption, the writer conducts research to find out how the condition of Japanese language leraning in senior high school level is? In order to collect the data, the writer distributes questionaires to the students who have ever studied Japanese language in their senior high school and finds out the biggest problem of learning it. The writer also thinks about the best learning system applied on this subject.
The result of the research shows that there are several causes make the Japanese language become less beneficial subject such as; wide range of learning time among the meetings, no target decided, less efficient of learning system, and less of time use.
The best learning system that can be recommended are maximizing condition and facilities and deciding the target of study. The targets that can be decided such as; the students are expected to understand, memorize, and apply the course outline. It is also recommended to the teacher to give homeworks to their students after the class, such as memorizing vocabularies that will be discussed in the next meeting. The other activities can be applied inside the class are vocabulary testing for the chapter will be dicussed, doing conversation from the certain questions, dicussing the homework, and giving new materials. The new material will be delivered more quickly to the students because they have already known very well about the vocabulary used in the dicussed chapter.
