Six students of the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) passed the 2022 School Literacy Club (KLS) internship selection. KLS is the idea of SEAMEO QITEP in Language (SEAQIL), which is one of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) centers.

KLS is project-based literacy activity to improve students’ literacy skills which has been spread in many schools throughout Indonesia. This internship students will later be responsible for accompanying students for three to four months.

Registration for KLS internships was carried out online starting from early June to June 15, 2022. After debriefing, there were two stages of the KLS internships registration process, namely administration, and selection. Students who pass the administrative screening were invited to participate in an online briefing called Training of Trainers (ToT) from June 21 to June 30, 2022.

Seven UB students have passed the KLS internship selection, six from FCS and one from FISIP. Of the six FIB students who passed the selection, four of them are from the Study Programme of English Language and Literature Education, namely Aldila Ihsania Mufidah, Maria Zita Sih Angranti, Muti’atus Sholikhah, and Theadora Roxane Afitha Tanasale.
