Towards the AQAS (Agentur zur Qualitätssicherung an Hochschulen mit Sitz in Köln), international accreditation visitation, the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a prayer on Sunday (3/20/2022) at 7.30 p.m. This event was attended by the entire FCS UB academic community through the Zoom Meeting platform.

The event started with the opening; encouraging remarks from the Dean of FCS UB, Hamamah, Ph.D., and the Head of Cluster 1 AQAS, Dr. Sony Sukmawan, M.Pd.; and prayer by Agus Budi Cahyono, M.Lt.

“This is the long journey that we have prepared for two years from 2020 to 2022. This is the time for us to bow our heads, and pray that we will be given the best results for all the hard work carried out by the big family of FCS UB,” said Hamamah.

“I am proud and grateful since the preparations. With all our strengths and weaknesses, we continue to complement each other and move forward together,” she added.

“Even though tomorrow is for cluster 1, all of us are helping each other. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to all of the lecturers, staff, and all of the academic community members who have been very sincere. This support eases the burden for the cluster 1 team. We have practiced many times, and currently, we need to calm our heart and mind,” she said.

Sony Sukmawan also revealed that all aspects of FCS UB have contributed in their respective fields.

“In preparation for this visitation, we are happier because we are closer to each other, and understand our colleagues better as family,” said Sony.

“We are a relatively young faculty and we must be proud,” he said.

The AQAS visitation at FCS UB is held for five days from Monday, March 21, 2022, to Friday, March 25, 2022. This visitation is carried out for cluster 1 (Asia) which includes Study Programmes of (1) Japanese Literature, (2) Chinese Literature, (3) Japanese Language Education, and (4) Indonesian Language and Literature.
