Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) proudly released 52 prospective graduates in the Release of Graduation Periods 15 and 16 Academic Year 2024/2025 on Friday (2/7/2025). The solemn event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and graduates.
In the report submitted by Dr. Aji Setyanto, S.S., M.Litt., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, it was stated that the number of graduates in this period consisted of 22 people from Period 15 and 29 people from Period 16, as well as one person from the previous period.
The two best graduates were awarded for their academic achievements on this occasion. Diajeng Ayu Wulandari is the best graduate in period 15 of the Study Program of English Literature (SPEL), with a GPA of 3.87. The best graduate of Period 16 was Eva Tri Kurnia Sari from the SPEL, with a GPA of 3.95.
The appreciation symbol was given directly by Sahiruddin, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, representing the dean of FCS UB, Hamamah, Ph.D., as a form of appreciation for their dedication in completing their studies with brilliant achievements. Then, the head of each study program carried out the Gordon procession to representatives of each study program. It is a symbolic moment that marks the graduation of the graduates and their readiness to enter the professional and academic world.
In his speech, Sahiruddin, Ph.D., gave direction and motivation to the graduates to continue to develop and make the alma mater proud.
“Your success today is not the end but the beginning of a long journey in the professional and academic world. Continue to learn, work, and bring benefits to society. Be a proud ambassador of Indonesian culture and language,” he said.
As a representative of the graduates, Eva Tri Kurnia Sari conveyed her impressions and messages to the audience. She expressed her gratitude to the lecturers and the entire academic community of FCS UB for their guidance and support during the study period.
“We are very grateful for all the knowledge and experience that has been given. Hopefully, we can apply and develop the knowledge we gained at FIB UB to contribute more broadly to the world of work and academics,” Eva said.
The event ended with a prayer led by Adhitya Bhayuar Prihatna, S.Pd., followed by a group photo session between faculty leaders, lecturers, and graduates.
The release of graduates this time was not only a moment of graduation celebration but also an important milestone in their academic journey. With the knowledge and experience they have gained, the graduates are expected to become future leaders in the fields of culture, literature, linguistics, art, and anthropology and contribute to the nation.
