Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held the Launch of the Renovation of Building Facilities on Thursday (12/23/2021). UB’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Accompanied by the Vice-Rector II for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Gugus Irianto, as well as the Dean of FCS UB, Prof. Agus Suman, they visited several renovated facilities in Buildings A and B, FCS UB.

“We strive to develop FCS UB, starting from the physical to the basic things such as curriculum, and so on. Hopefully, early next year, FCS can contribute to the university in the form of our ten internationally accredited study programs,” said Prof. Agus Suman.

It is hoped that the various existing facilities can improve FCS services in carrying out the student teaching and learning process. In addition to improving the learning curriculum, improving facilities is also one of the requirements for the international accreditation process.

UB’s Rector congratulates and is proud of the progress and hard work of FCS.

“The ten study programs prepared by FCS to obtain international accreditation next year will help UB to become a world-class university. Hopefully, with the facilities that continue to be improved, it will make FCS even better in the future,” said Prof. Nuhfil Hanani.

“In the long-term plan, UB is expected to become a world-class university in 2019-2034. The target for international accreditation is 28%, now it is 33% in 2021. Next year, it will increase by 63%. So that next year it will be more than 60%. While 60% and above international accreditation will be achieved in 2024-2029. Thus, there is a tremendous acceleration,” he continued.

In addition to the renovation of facilities carried out in Building A, Building B, and GRL, FCS UB also experienced an increase in Grade from C to B. It is hoped that next year it can increase again to Grade A. [DTS/MSH/PR FCS]
