The new Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) for the 2022-2025 period has been inaugurated by the UB Rector on Monday (1/3/2022). Located at the Samantha Krida Building, Hamamah, S.Pd., M.Pd. Ph.D. was inaugurated along with about 40 other PTNBH UB officials.
Hamamah, as the elected Dean of FCS UB, is the sole registrant for the prospective dean of FCS UB. Previously, the committee had opened registration for a week from Wednesday (10/27/2021) to Monday (11/1/2021). However, at that time, there was only one registrant. So, the committee extended the registration for three days until Thursday (11/4/2021).
Until the closing day, Hamamah was still the only candidate. After going through several screening processes, Hamamah was selected as a candidate for the dean of FCS UB for the 2022-2025 period. The election results were sent to UB’s Rector on Friday (11/19/2021).
As the Dean of FCS UB for the period 2022-2025, Hamamah is committed to achieving the vision and mission of FCS UB. She is also committed to continuing and developing good practices that have been carried out by previous FCS UB leaders, namely the Three Main Pillars of FCS UB Development. The Three Main Pillars of FCS UB’s Development are (1) dignified, by encouraging excellence and affirmation of dignity; (2) prosperity, namely sustainable welfare through capacity and quality improvement; and (3) FCS UB as the axis of arts and culture and education which is carried out by developing creative power.
