Theodora and Another Winner
Theodora Putri Aleni Tarigan, a student of the Study Programme of Chinese Literature (SPCL) at the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), made a remarkable achievement by winning second place in the Solo Dance category at the prestigious Petak 99 International Mandarin Competition organized by the State University of Jakarta (UNJ). The competition culminated in the final round held on Monday (10/21/2024).
Theodora’s Solo Dance Performance
Theodora, who is familiarly called Thea, only started exploring the world of solo dance in April this year. Despite being a newcomer to the field, her dedication led her to second place in the international competition. When asked about the meaning of this victory, Thea said that this achievement was the first milestone in her journey to participate in various competitions.
Theodora and Other Participants
“This victory is a start for me to participate further in future competitions,” she said.
In the future, Thea hopes this achievement can motivate her to continue developing and make her alma mater proud.
“I hope I can win other competitions and bring a good reputation for FCS UB,” she added enthusiastically. [trans.acl/ed.dts/PR FCS]
