In the online seminar, Fadlan delivered materials on scientific journals and journal publications.

“Scientific journals are publications or introductory media that provide opportunities to fill our minds and convey ideas to others. With the media publication, it can be conveyed consistently about scientific ideas. It must be based on research and actual and factual issues, acceptable to reason in the religious case context. Scientific concepts have a methodology. The scientific word must be based on empirical research under scientific principles and then published to the general public. What is disseminated written in the form of journal articles are collections of articles,” he said.

“When writing articles in journals, you must ensure that the journal is registered, indicated by the ISSN or ISBN. Journals have barcodes that, if not registered, are not found in scientific searches. The difference is that we have to go through editing and review so that our ideas can be read by many people around the world,” he stated.

In journal publication, there is a strategy so that the works are of good value. Therefore, Fadlan also explained the appropriate strategies.

“We must prepare editors who understand journals and authors. Both must work together. Managers must prepare good and transparent editorials so that they will produce good works,” he explained. [DTS/MSH/PR FCS]
