Study Programme of Japanese Literature (SPJL), Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) succeeded in achieving the status of “Accreditation from “A” to “Excellent”. The status of “Excellent” Accreditation is stated through the Decree of the Executive Board Director of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, Decree Number: 395/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2023 on Conversion of Study Programme of Japanese Literature Accreditation Ratings for Bachelor Programme of Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, signed by Prof. Ari Purbayanto, Ph.D.
The Superior Accreditation Status for SPJL FCS UB is valid from 7 February 2023 to 16 August 2027.
Earlier in 2022, SPJL received Accreditation A status on 16 August 2022. It is hoped that by attaining this new status to Excellent, SPJL FCS UB can further improve the quality, especially in the fields of Language Studies (Linguistics), Literary Studies, and Japanese Cultural Studies.
It is also hoped that this Excellent Accreditation status will encourage the academic community of SPJL FCS UB, especially the students, to be more enthusiastic and active in developing themselves in the field of Humanities, and this achieved result can benefit Indonesian society in general.
