Request for Public Information

Any Public Information Requestor can submit a request to obtain Public Information from Universitas Brawijaya (UB), either in writing or orally, directly or through electronic mail. UB will record the identity of the Public Information Requestor, which includes name, address, subject and format of the information, as well as the preferred method of information delivery. This applies to both written and oral requests.

UB will provide a proof of receipt for the Public Information Request in the form of a registration number at the time the request is received.

No later than 10 (ten) working days from the receipt of the request, UB will provide a written notification that includes:

  • Whether or not the requested information is under UB’s control. If UB does not have the requested information but knows its location, UB will inform the Requestor of the Public Institution that holds the information.
  • Acceptance or rejection of the request. A request will be rejected if the requested information is classified as excluded (confidential) information.
  • Whether the information will be provided in full or partially, depending on the information’s status (excluded/confidential or accessible to the public).
  • The method and format in which the information will be provided.

UB may extend the time for sending the notification, in accordance with applicable regulations, for a maximum of 7 (seven) additional working days, with a written explanation.
