Nowadays, it can be said that employment opportunities are starting to decrease, but we can also argue that employment opportunities have begun to vary. In the past, the types of jobs we knew were civil servants, private employees, office workers, and entrepreneurs. However, as time goes by, the types of work are also increasing. Jobs in the creative industry have started to become common jobs and are quite popular. Examples include content creators, translators, content writers, copywriters, and so on.
Introducing Ulwan Fakhri, a humor researcher who is a graduate of English Literature, Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) and Master of Communication Science, Universitas Brawijaya (UB). Humor research is a job that can be said to be very rare to hear about, but it is a real and scientific job. Humor is not just a joke or buffoonery. Humor also has other material elements such as architectural humor, photographic humor, to philosophical, psychological, and communication humor. With the various elements in this humor, the profession of humor researcher is a very interesting job.

Ulwan’s work is to look for material about humor and its various derivatives that can be used for IHIK3’s social media content, workshop materials, and books written in Indonesian. According to Ulwan, this work is quite challenging because there are limited books on humor studies in Indonesia, perhaps even none yet available. Another very important task is to introduce to the public that humor is also a scientific, multidisciplinary, and multi-professional matter.
