Two students from Study Program of Japanese Language Education (SPJLE), class of 2021 from the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Fadil Maulana and Muhammad Auliaurrachman, achieved remarkable success by obtaining Monbukagakusho/MEXT scholarships on the Embassy Recommendation or G-to-G scheme.

The Monbukagakusho (Monbusho) Scholarship obtained by Fadil Maulana and Muhammad Auliaurrachman have opened the door to a golden opportunity for them to pursue further studies in Japan, specifically in Japanese language and culture. Fadil Maulana will study for one year at Nara University of Education, while Muhammad Auliaurrachman will continue his studies at Osaka University of Education for the same duration.

The Monbusho Scholarship, also known as the Japanese Studies Scholarship, is a program organized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. It aims at international students looking to deepen their knowledge of Japanese language and culture. This program enables students to directly engage and interact with Japanese society, helping them understand Japanese culture and language more deeply.

Fadil Maulana, as an Indonesian student who succeeded in obtaining the Monbusho scholarship, expressed his hope on bridging cultural exchange between Japan and Indonesia. The students achievement in receiving this scholarship reflected the high-quality of education provided by FCS UB to produce students who excel and possess international potential.
