Universitas Brawijaya (UB) conducted an English language test as one of the assessment criteria for the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). The Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) was entrusted with organizing this test, which took place on Monday (13/05/2024).
The IUP is an international class program available to all faculties at UB. This program offers opportunities for both local and international students to pursue education at UB in specific study programs with international classes.
Two tests are required to join the IUP program: the English test and an interview. The FCS, through Layanan Bahasa dan Ekonomi Kreatif (LBEKRAF), was responsible for organizing the English test. LBEKRAF handled the scheduling, supervision, and assessment conversion, which will be provided to the IUP UB team.
The IUP program, newly launched in 2024, differs from the regular Seleksi Mandiri UB, which opens annually. The registration regulations, test procedures, and class implementation for the IUP are distinct from those of regular classes.
The English test organized by FCS UB was part of the registration process for the first batch of the IUP. A total of 162 participants attended the test, with 158 taking it on-site and 4 participating online. The online participants, who were abroad, adhered to the same schedule as the on-site participants.
The second registration batch for the IUP program is open from May 6 to June 28, 2024, with a similar English test scheduled for July 3, 2024. [trans.adhyaksa/ed.al/vidya/PR FCS]
