Kembali ke Thailand, FIB UB Melepas Mahasiswa Walailak University

 

Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) bid farewell to the two exchange students from Walailak University (WU) on Thursday (04/04/2024). These two students are Pattarawadee Srisaard and Siriwan Matkaeo who had undergone an internship at FCS UB for student exchange programme with WU.

This farewell session was held at the 6th Floor Meeting Room of FCS Building A, 10 AM. Attended by the Dean, Head of the Department of Language Education, as well as the Coordinator and lecturers of the Study Programme of Indonesian Language and Literature Education.

Series of agendas was hosted by Dr. Lilik Wahyuni, M.Pd., with a few short remarks to open the event, followed by the remarks by Hamamah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D. as the Dean of FCS UB. In her speech, Hamamah, representing the Faculty, expressed her hopes for the WU students.

 

“After returning to Thailand, we hope that both of you can introduce FCS and UB, especially the Study Programme of Indonesian Language and Literature Education to your family and friends there,” she said.

After the Dean of FCS UB delivered her remarks, it was Dr Ive Emaliana, M.Pd. as the Head of the Department of Language Education phrased her message.

“Hopefully this relationship will continue with several agendas that we can do together soon,” she continued.

After that, Dr Eti Setiawati, M.Pd., as the Study Programme Coordinator of Indonesian Language and Literature Education and Muhammad Rozin, M.A. as the Head of the International Relationship Office (IRO) had the opportunity to read the reports of the results of the activities and internships of the WU students.

 

 

Eti Setiawati said that the WU students who carried out internships at FCS UB had undertaken and participated in several activities such as community service with lecturers, and foreign language teaching. Followed by Muhammad Rozin who presented information on scholarship opportunities that could be applied by them at UB.

At the end of the event, Pattarawadee and Siriwan expressed their impressions and gratitude for the experience they had during their internship and participated in several activities at FCS UB.

“Thank you for the new experiences here, there are many interesting things we did while here,” they said.

After that, the activity ended with the handover of souvenirs as a memento for the WU students who would return to Thailand the next day. [trans.adhyaksa/ed.vidya/PR FCS]
