Pelepasan Calon Wisudawan FIB Periode 13 dan 14 Tahun Akademik 2023/2024

The Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held the release ceremony for prospective graduates of Periods 13 and 14 for the 2023/2024 academic year on Friday, March 8, 2024. The event, which took place in the FCS B Building Hall, officially marked the transition of students before they participated in the graduation ceremonies scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024, for Period 13, and Sunday, March 10, 2024, for Period 14.

The ceremony began with the arrival of FCS UB leaders, including the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Department, and Head of Study Programme. The opening was marked by the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” followed by “Mengheningkan Cipta,” and the FCS UB anthem.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Sahiruddin, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., then presented a report on the prospective graduates. He announced that there were 70 graduates in total, with 35 graduates in each period.

Following this, the Dean of FCS UB awarded certificates to the top graduates. I Gusti Ayu Putri Natalie Udayana from the Chinese Literature programme, who graduated with honours and a GPA of 3.93, was named the best graduate of Period 13. Rachma Oktaviani from the French Language and Literature programme, who also graduated with honours and a GPA of 3.92, was named the best graduate of Period 14.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of the gordon by the Head of the Study Programme to representatives of each study programme’s graduates. This was followed by a speech from Hamamah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., the Dean of FCS UB, who offered congratulations and advice to the graduates.

“After graduating and returning to the community, it is hoped that you all maintain the good name of yourselves and the alma mater,” she urged.

I Gusti Ayu Putri Natalie Udayana, representing the prospective graduates, shared her reflections and encouragement.

“Don’t let our journey stop here, and don’t let the knowledge we gained stop here. Continue to be useful to the community and the people around us,” she said.

The event concluded with a prayer, a group photo session, and a briefing for the graduation activities planned for Saturday and Sunday. [trans.adhyaksa/ed.vidya/PR FCS]
